Painter Joe Hayes recently debuted his latest solo exhibition, White, at Caelum Gallery in Chelsea. We always look forward to Hayes’ yearly exhibition which purposefully falls on September 11th. In a way, by aligning his work with this date, Hayes helps us to celebrate to creativity on a day that we usually mourn over past destruction. Under the umbrella of resilience, both Hayes’ creative display and the remembrance of the 9/11 attacks coexist quite brilliantly.
Quiet Lunch stopped by the opening reception and got a chance to speak with Hayes who was happy to explain the concept behind the show and the significance of its title.
Quiet Lunch is a grassroot online publication that seeks to promote various aspects of life and culture with a loving, but brute, educational tinge. When we say, “Creative Sustenance Daily,” we mean it.
