Featuring dynamic portraits teeming with youth and vitality, this exhibition truly does pop. However, underneath all the teen spirit Lewis has embedded an underlying message in Hell Yes! that addresses weightier subjects such as girl culture, beauty, identity, teen trends, girl empowerment and other social issues.
The exhibition is somewhat sarcastic in its approach but in no way attempts to poke fun of the issues mentioned. Hell Yes! is a well-executed show and well worth the visit.
Tomorrow is the last day to view Tara Lewis’ Hell Yes! Do not miss your chance to see these exquisite works up close.
