Feast your eyes on the table of the future! Inspired by the Maglev train in Shanghai, the Magnetic Table utilizes magnetic technology to manipulate levitating principles thus creating an uncanny floating effect. Designed by Yana Christiaens, the height of the table can be adjusted using an electromagnetic suspension system. The electromagnetic suspension works by controlling the strength of the magnetic field. The magnetic field exist between two opposing steel plates; one attached to the table, one attached to the ground. Sounds pretty simple right? The future is going to be fucking awesome.
