New Video. | “Never Surrender” | Avery LR.

In Audiorotic by Niki Gatewood

Intimately acquainted with strife, Avery LR , uses lyrics encased in pain to provoke feeling. A childhood where love was interrupted by death and distance, the emerging artist uses his growing perspective as a man to share his personal insight.

From his recent visual for “Never Surrender,” he raps, “…Yeah, I believe in God, but do God believe in me…;” conflicted thoughts assaulted by angst push his pen. A tapestry of topics like gnawing hunger, hollow molestation, and depleted hope are poignantly opined.

The Midwest / East Coast vet uses pain as a universal connector. It’s Avery LR’s ability to astutely employ an undulating note of uplifting sincerity that nudges the listener away from the darkness.  “…Everybody can’t survive, everybody can’t win / so if you fall down, get up and try again…,” he insists.

Back in Janurary, his Surviving mixtape dropped; give it a listen.
