While making the rounds at Art Basel Miami Beach 2012, we made our way over to BMW‘s Art Classic to have a gander at their rare, one-of-a-kind automobiles. Painted by the likes of minimalist Frank Stella (3.0 CSL), mobile inventor Alexander Calder (3.0 CSL), and Neo-Dadaist Robert Rauschenberg (635 CSi), these precious art cars do not get to leave their home in Germany very often. Bummer: The cars we are featuring today are three out of a collection that equals up to 14 total. A fourth car painted by Andy Warhol was also on display, but an uncanny time crunch, and an exhausted camera battery kept us from capturing it in all its glory.
