If you find yourself in the Chelsea area this evening, we suggest that you head over to see Jérôme Lagarrigue‘s Visible Man at Driscoll Babcock. Using male model Shaun Ross as a primary muse, Lagarrigue created 10 vivid large scale paintings all bearing the visage of Ross himself—eight of which are currently displayed at the gallery. Each portrait envelops Ross in Lagarrigue’s signature aesthetic while capturing every perfect imperfection that makes Ross one of the most coveted models of our young century.

Visible Man will be on display at Driscoll Babcock (525 W 25th St, New York, NY 10001) through October 18th. Be sure to stop by! In the meantime, check out snapshot from the Opening Reception.
