Bi-coastal painter, illustrator, and all around stand-up guy Gregory Siff was recently sanctioned by COFFEED to produce a nearly block-long mural at their new Chelsea location set to open this fall. The images portrayed were requested by the youth collective who directly benefit from COFFEED and New York Foundling’s philanthropic efforts. The stunning colors coupled with Siff’s abstract expressionism encouraged tons of foot traffic and shameless selfies by onlookers and baffled residents alike.

The radiant visuals, seemingly tangible energy and COFFEED’s FREE 20 hour brewed Ethiopian Cold Pressed coffee created a rare public scene in which complete strangers–without hesitation–approached one another to either discuss what they were seeing or tasting. It is an accomplishment that is often overlooked in a city like New York, especially from an artist doing his first NY installment.
Maybe the Big Apple needs more Siff.
