Welcome, dear readers, to the 41st issue of Quiet Lunch Magazine. To kick off the month of July, we sweat extra hard to give you another kick-ass read. Our cover story, written by our Editor in Chief, Akeem Duncan, features illustrator Joan Casaramona and her Picasso-esque body of work. Senior Editor Bim Star links up with Spanish painter, Juan Migeul Palacio for a video interview, while Catherine LeClair hits us with the next installment of her column, The Sophomore Report, featuring Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s II.
Our industrious, sweaty-browed Editor in Chief also attended an exhibit at the Italian Cultural Institute in New York called, “Born Back Into the Past,” Stefano and Sylvia Lucchini’s collection of New York based photographs from an anonymous photographer.
The Quiet Lunch is very glad to introduce a new writer in this 41st issue, Mr. Dominick DeJesus, the latest addition to our growing Boston staff. He gives us his assessment of the 4th season of the ever-popular show, Arrested Development. And finally, our Editor at Large, Matia Guardabascio, dives into some hard issues with her op-ed about Edward Snowden and the NSA spying scandal.
Kick off your sandals, grab a cold beer from the fridge and get ready to sink into the Quiet Lunch.
Unflinchingly Yours,
Quiet Lunch Staff.
Stay Tuned!
Quiet Lunch is a grassroot online publication that seeks to promote various aspects of life and culture with a loving, but brute, educational tinge. When we say, “Creative Sustenance Daily,” we mean it.
