As mentioned we last weekend, we had quite a few gems from our busy week at CMJ. After patiently waiting for this new issue to come around, we are more than happy to present our readers with some dope live performances. Continuing from where we left off, Brooklynite Joey Bada$$ performed at the CMJ Marathon related event Remember When Rappers Could Rap? presented by Cinematic Music Group, ECKO Unltd., and XXL Magazine. Joey performed some familiar tunes like “Fromdatomb$” and “World Domination”– both are from his successful mixtape 1999. Pro Era members, CJ Fly and Chuck Strangers were also on deck.
Hosted by Peter Rosenberg and Shiest Bubz, the lineup featured a few our favorites like Big K.R.I.T., Smoke DZA and Fat Trel as well as some new faces that included Cashius Green, Chance the Rapper and Mookie Jones.
