There is something wonderfully off-kilter about KYNE’s flow and her general approach to music. The listener can tell that she’s having fun but also taking her craft seriously. The way she slips in and out various pockets of rhythm and weaves together warm stretches of melodies automatically puts “Mozzarella” in our summer rotation.

The visuals dropped right after the single and it features a Bonnie & Clyde-like vibe that matches the song perfectly. KYNE is slugged up with golds in her mouth, paying homage to the neoclassical Towns aesthetic–as New York City is the birthplace of the gold teeth trend. Her energy is raw and unbridled yet intentful. KYNE even speaks her own body language into the camera, giving us some memorable moves that imprints the song even further onto our brains.
“Also looking ahead, my next single, “The Weekend,” will be released on July 31. It features a sample of Lauryn Hill’s Just Like Water and marks the final step before the full project.
