James Holmes: Manchurian Candidate vs. The Joker.

The election is right around the corner. What else would drive a candidate to the seat in the Oval Office than a tragedy that has the entire country glued to the television? This and a few unconstitutional policies are exactly what the politicians ordered. Extreme libertarians are screaming for gun control, and it was a fairly mute issue until now.

We have known James Holmes less than a week, and we can clearly see this young man is a genius. You’re at the top of your class; you’re studying neuroscience at a doctoral level, and you then you walk into a movie theater and turn into a sinister character—What was the code word? We can only speculate, but speculation is deserved at the least. The media has us where they want us, but this time we must use Tai Chi and deflect the pain they are about to inflict before it pierces our minds.

“I watched James Holmes in the courtroom, and nothing sat right with me. As I was watching the television, I felt like I was watching a movie—I suppose how he felt he was acting out a scene from Batman.”

What this man carried out was evil. I am a very matter-of-fact person. When a tragedy strikes, my first reaction is typically, “Oh wow, that’s sad.” and I don’t give it too much more thought. It’s not because I’m heartless. It is because I never take anything for face value when it’s presented to me. But, this time was different. I watched James Holmes in the courtroom, and nothing sat right with me. As I was watching the television, I felt like I was watching a movie—I suppose how he felt he was acting out a scene from Batman. It was very surreal, and I felt as if all eyes were on America. We are living in a dream, or maybe the Truman Show.

I cannot put myself in the shoes of the victims or their families. But, I can put myself in my shoes, and every other American who was not there. I’m anti-death penalty, but it was hard not to say, “Send him to the chamber.” I am not a lawyer, but I will be attending law school soon. I love the law. I do not love the inequalities it possesses. Freedom does not come free. This is the price we have to pay. This is the price we have to pay when we pay high prices to see watch movies that will allow people to act out fantasies.

This is the price we pay when we do not censor anything our children see. This is the price we pay when our value of entertainment is more than our value of life or rather the quality there of. We have a conscious and subconscious mind. James Holmes was an intellect on neuroscience, and could intelligently speak on selective experience. Insanity, in the sense of the law (knowing the difference between right and wrong) cannot be used as a defense. I could use insanity as a defense for not showing up to work, but I would get fired. Insanity is a cop out. Sure, this man should be and will be held accountable, but when are we going to start holding the industry accountable? Movies and scripts are imaginations put on the big screen. Moviegoers act out the fantasy.

“We do not need gun control. People can carry out violence without a gun. Did you know we were at our fullest potential at infancy, and it declines every year we spend on this earth? Too many opinions and status quos are forced into our routines and habits, and it is becoming harder and harder to think for ourselves.”

This man shot 71 people in just a few minutes. His plan was not executed as he had planned. However, he wanted a massacre, and he got one. We have seen plenty of massacres in America, and unfortunately we will see more. Killing this man won’t stop the next massacre. Killing this man won’t let the six-year-old little girl see her seventh birthday. (Remember, I am speaking with facts, not emotion. We have to remove ourselves emotionally and think rationally.)

We do not need gun control. People can carry out violence without a gun. Did you know we were at our fullest potential at infancy, and it declines every year we spend on this earth? Too many opinions and status quos are forced into our routines and habits, and it is becoming harder and harder to think for ourselves.

James Holmes, a tragedy within himself. We shouldn’t give this man any more attention than he deserves? I don’t think he will ever get enough attention.

“Somebody got into our heads with big steel-toe boots, cable cutters and a chainsaw and they went to town. Neurons got got got exposed and circuits got rewired .”—Manchurian Candidate.

  1. This guy is the game alter of the real child genius gamer neuroscientist homes. This is the patsy – shame we cannot check DNA. Who are his parents, CIA agents?

  2. Go to Google images and look at the pix of Holmes. Check the differences – the nose, the ears, the eye line, jaw line – guess what Disneylanders, you have been had, yet again…wanna buy a bridge? What about a watch? An Ab King Pro?
    Suckers.

Go to that link. Lights have got to start going off in people’s heads to wake up to this bizarreness. I just cannot imagine being a defense attorney in this case. They have to take the insanity route for the sake of their reputation as a lawyer, but I would absolutely refuse and be out of a job.

And the clean cut Holmes has a different hair line and part than the Joker Holmes.
