Anyone who tells their lover that they can look into their eyes for forever and a day has yet to see this series of photography from Suren Manvelyan. Titled, Your Beautiful Eyes, the project involves intense close-ups of the eye–revealing all sorts of textures that we rarely notice, even during our most intimate interactions.
The cornea, a part of the eye that most revered for its color, takes on a different role in Manvelyan’s series. It is transformed a point of reference that allows the audience to become more familiar with the inner-workings of the human body. Manvelyan has a similar project titled, Animal Eyes, which also features close-ups of the eyes.
Quiet Lunch is a grassroot online publication that seeks to promote various aspects of life and culture with a loving, but brute, educational tinge. When we say, “Creative Sustenance Daily,” we mean it.
