Romance in a big city isn’t as always Woody Allen-esque as the movies make it seem. Void of intimacy and flooded with a population that refrains from making eye contact with strangers, a big city like New York or LA can seem impersonal and uncaring. But in the midst of a lovelorn metropolis are flashpoints of lust and affection.
Photographer Kohei Yoshiyuki’s Document Park, considered by many to be a “soft-core voyeur’s manual”, sheds light on a warm, dark place in Tokyo where love-thirsty citizens get their kicks.
