Bringing a dramatic end to the summer, Coming to Terms promises to be a brilliant display by one of today’s most prolific newcomers. Australian artist Abdul Abdullah is somewhat of a young prodigy. A three-time finalist for the Archibald Prize, the most prestigious portrait prize in Australia, Abdullah is receiving plenty of accolades for someone his age—and it is all thanks to his aesthetic. He has a riveting style that will pull you in and keep you there; imagery that relates to existentialism, ritual and cultural identity.
Coming to Terms debuts this Friday on August 28th at Chasm Gallery (56 Bogart Street, Bushwick, Brooklyn). Opening reception starts at 7 p.m. RSVP with creative director Jessica C. Holburn at jess@chasmgallery.com

Quiet Lunch is a grassroot online publication that seeks to promote various aspects of life and culture with a loving, but brute, educational tinge. When we say, “Creative Sustenance Daily,” we mean it.
