We headed over to Scratch DJ Academy to witness the opening reception of Art In FLUX Harlem‘s newest exhibition, Soul & Vibe. Featuring a roster of talented artists that includes Anthony J. Thomas, Daren Chambers, Lance Johnson, Linus Coraggio, Margaret Rose Vendryes, Ruben Natal-San Miguel, and Walter Lobyn Hamilton, Soul & Vibe is a musically inspired show that certainly has it’s own unique brand of harmony.
Curator and Art In FLUX Harlem founder Leanne Stella had this to say to Quiet Lunch:
“We brought together seven artists, they all work with music and energy and emotions in their pieces. And each of them really was the right connection for what we are doing at Scratch DJ Academy, where we really try to connect the visuals arts and the music.”
– Leanne Stella.
Soul & Vibe will run at Scratch DJ Academy until January 3rd 2014, so you’ll have more than enough time to take in all of the glorious pieces on display. In the meantime, check out some shots from opening night.
Quiet Lunch is a grassroot online publication that seeks to promote various aspects of life and culture with a loving, but brute, educational tinge. When we say, “Creative Sustenance Daily,” we mean it.
