Akomplice always has positive agenda in mind and this time is no different. The street apparel label has joined forces with the J Dilla Foundation and Joey Bada$$ to present a groovy Fall/Winter 2013 capsule collection that gives back where it counts.
Melding unreleased music from the late great artist with those of the burgeoning Brooklyn emcee, the capsule range looks to further bring awareness to youth’s access to music via inspirational hip-hop figures.
With philanthropy at its very core, all profits made will go towards funding inner-city music programs and helping underprivileged kids. Such a gesture is much needed, especially with the way music and art programs are being cut nowadays. The limited capsule collection will be available at selected Akomplice retailers and the brand’s online store from November 29.
Quiet Lunch is a grassroot online publication that seeks to promote various aspects of life and culture with a loving, but brute, educational tinge. When we say, “Creative Sustenance Daily,” we mean it.
