We kicked off New York Fashion Week with the Secret Circus Fashion Week Launch Event held at ModaListas Boutique inside the legendary Limelight. With the DJ Whoo Kid spinning on the 1 & 2’s, the event marked the launch of the London brand in New York City. The brand also teamed up with Jamie Hector’s New York based Moving Mountains, Inc., an organization with the goal of improving the lives of the youth by developing their artistic talents in theater, film and entertainment and by encouraging them to pursue their dreams while building character. Secret Circus designed a limited edition luxury tee where all the sales would go directly to Moving Mountains, Inc.
With everyone partying for a cause and Barcadi providing the necessary beverages to wet our whistle, we took the time to speak to Ainy Naim about the inspiration behind Secret Circus:
“Good things and good people… the grand and beautiful things that happen in life is what inspires Secret Circus. Everything is connected and we put that into work in the best way we can possible. The brand at the moment is a blank canvas, each I’m going to add a bit of paint… every season we’re adding… and we’re growing with the people who are growing with us rather than dictating to people how they should be.”
– Ainy Naim.
We also ran into Monica Phromsavanh and Sari Robles of ModaListas, both of whom were all smiles. Altogther the event was enjoyed by all, and everyone were more than happy to start Fashion Week off right.
