Tessa John-Connor. | Director of Media/Content Production.

Tessa John-Connor is a New York-based creative advocate, actress, model, stylist and holistic entertainer. Born in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, and raised with a West Indian and Irish heritage, her platform grew out of her journey toward self-discovery, embracing her natural hair, and practicing sustainable, eclectic fashion through thrifting. From there she established Afroista, a creative brand and online moniker that entrenched itself in all facets of the arts.

She has hosted live experiences like Diggin’ for Gem: The Ultimate Thrift Shopping Experience with Housing Works Buy the Bag, modeled for editorials, assisted with fashion design on various productions, and still manages to personal styling and wellness consultations through the Afroista Official Site.

As Director of Creative Media/Content Production, Tessa John-Connor helps fuels the conceptual engine that powers Quiet Lunch. From our signature interview segments to our event activations, Tess John-Connor is responsible for those visions coming into a rich reality–and with GOOD TASTE!
