In The Menu by Quiet Lunch

This weekend saw the culmination of Esmeralda Kosmatopoulos‘ solo exhibition, What I Always Wanted to Tell You But Never Dared. Hosted by Parasol Projects and curated by Clémence Mailly, the new body of work explored the automated monotony of communicating through technology. Legend has it, Kosmatopoulos began the works while typing a message on her smartphone and accidentally pressed several consecutive times the predictive text bar on the screen. Kosmatopoulos then encouraged friends, peers and loved ones to do the same—only she also required them to transfer their digital text onto stationery paper and mail the letters to her. The results were quite intriguing.

For those of you who didn’t get the chance to see it for yourself, Quiet Lunch has some flicks from opening night. Check them out!
