With Black History Month coming to an end, the University of Pennsylvania and the Anna Julia Cooper Project are holding a symposium on black women’s hair. Officially titled, The Politics of Black Women’s Hair Symposium, the event will featured key speakers and special guests such as Melissa Harris-Perry, AfroBella, and our good friend, Glenford Nunez. Pieces from Nunez’s highly popular The Coiffure Project will be shown during the opening reception and the symposium will be streamed live on March 1st.
