For decades, New York City has enjoyed the lights and sweet aromas of the San Genarro Festival. Held annually since 1996, the 86th Feast of San Genarro has become a key indication of fall, bringing with it games, merriment and, most of all, delicious foods. Hungry tummies roam the selected blocks of Little Italy following their noses to whichever food purveyor entices them the most.
It seems like a slutty affair but once you’re on your way home with a torso full of delicious grub, you tend to forget your shame. Don’t believe us? Quiet Lunch partook in the festivities this weekend and not once was shame ever on the menu. The festival runs from September 13th – September 23rd.
TODAY IS THE LAST DAY, so if you’re in the area, be sure to head down to Mulberry Street today! For those of you aren’t able to make it, enjoy a recap of our great pigout!
Quiet Lunch is a grassroot online publication that seeks to promote various aspects of life and culture with a loving, but brute, educational tinge. When we say, “Creative Sustenance Daily,” we mean it.
